selecting and editing a cutout. So now what we're going to do is we're going to add in a subject. So we're going to go into the project folder, Photoshop, and I'm just going to select this portrait that I have. Next, we'll flip the direction. So you can click on this button here to flip the image. And then we're just going to drag it over and increase the size a little bit. And what we're going to do is we're gonna cut this image out. We can go ahead and select subject. And you'll see that this time it does a really good job in selecting the subject. Click the layer mask. And there we go. So the background has been removed, but you can still see that there's a couple of little areas where it didn't necessarily work. So, making sure I'm clicked on the mask in the layers panel, we're going to grab our paintbrush and paint out those sections that don't really work as well. Okay. And over here, it looks like we need to make the brush a little bit smaller. Okay. So, we'll just get rid of some of that. And these are um pretty small adjustments, but they do make enough of a difference depending on the size of the image. So, this one isn't going to be perfect, but the more time you put into this to remove the areas, the better it is. Now, you can see that there's this little outline kind of around the shoulder here where the lighting doesn't quite match with the background. So, it's kind of like a white halo. So, I've increased the brush size and I'm keeping the hardness down so that we can go around this and we can just sort of paint right over the edges here and slightly blend things in to remove some of that hard edge.
