using the layer mask. So now we can see that we've selected most of the city here. Now there's some pieces you'll notice that aren't selected properly and that's okay because down here on the bottom we have this create mask from selection. Before that you'll want to click on select inverse to select the sky. And now it's created that layer mask. So, it's taken out that old sky and it has put in the one underneath that layer. Now, once again, you'll notice that it's a little bit rough in some areas and we still have some of the other sky underneath. Um, but thankfully, we can fix that. So, now you'll notice that next to our city, we've got this black and white image here. So, this is the layer mask that we've just created. And what this mask does is it's basically a map showing you which pieces of the image should be transparent and which ones should be opaque. So the white areas are opaque and the black ones are transparent. And when we have this selected, we can actually paint directly onto it using the paintbrush tool right here. Um, and then we've got black and white. So those are our colors. You can swap between them. So, what we're going to do is is we're going to paint in all of those detailed areas that we're missing. Okay. So, let's fast forward here. And you can always adjust the hardness to bring back um a little bit less of something. You almost want to you just want to keep going back and forth between the black and the white. Okay. So once again, the black color will remove the gray sky. And then if I switch it to white, it'll paint in um we want to paint in the buildings with the white. It doesn't have to be perfect um because we're going to look at a few other techniques to make this look even better.
