Motion Picture Lab
This service facility houses an Arri 1000 II 16mm/35mm black & white motion film processor, a Peterson 16mm contact printer, a ScanStation Personal film scanner capable of digitizing R8/Super-8/16mm/35mm, plus a film loading room. Students interested in a closer look at the workings of the Motion Picture Lab can email the technician for a tour.

Booking Process
The Motion Picture Lab is a service facility. Lab orders require completion of an online order form, regularly updated with procedures, pricing, etc. The form can also be found via a QR link posted by the lab door.
Required Action
No special forms, certifications, or training is required to have access to this space.
Other Information
Hours: Mon-Thu, 8am-6pm
As detailed on the required form, drop off orders in the red dropbox beside the lab door. Films are handled twice a week and then sent to the Technology Resource Centre for pickup.
The lab technician is happy to help with any analog filmmaking inquiries.
